124.6. I had a pretty normal day, muesli, rice cakes and a banana, but I also had Biltong (yum), and then I was really thirsty at night so I ended up drinking about 500ml of water above what I usually do.
I'm still down, so I'm not terribly upset. I do REALLY want to get back below the line tho.

I've been ALMOST good.
Had some rice cakes at 12, and a banana at 4. But then at 5:30, frank came over with a strip of biltong so I went nom on that. That's only about 100g, so even if it was pure fat (which it wasn't) it shouldn't make too much difference. Was super yummy tho.
Was good yesterday
124.75 Had muesli, rice cakes, 2 pears and a bit of rice at dinner.
So far today have had a bowl of muesli at 9:30. Want to get back under the line.

Amazingly bad yesterday.
125.75
Muesli at 9, rice cakes at 1. But then Tharyn suggested 'fuck it friday'. So I then had a pizza, (admittedly, home made, and reasonably small), booze, and chips. I'm over the line. 8-(
Tonight we're going out for a birthday party. So I'm guessing I'm going to be having a small salad or something tonight.

As I was feeling good about 700g..
124.9
I was bad yesterday. Muesli at 8ish, and 3 rice crackers at 2. I also had one of jade's chips from Red Rooster, and also had a peanut butter sandwitch at about 6, as well as one and a half pears (the first one was half rotten)

Today is a good day to be unfat.
125.15, so 700g from yesterday.
Looking at the graph, it does look like my target is achievable. Yay!

Hrm.
125.85. That doesn't classify as 'good', but it's only barely bad.
(Edit: Made a typo, put 126.85, not 125.85)
Have been reading about how fat cells work today.
Basically, they're continuously generating fat, and releasing glucose into the bloodstream. When you haven't eaten, they're only releasing. When you've eaten, they're only absorbing.
I also read about someone saying that physics-based diets don't work. Well, I respectfully disagree.
Admittedly, I could be doing this _better_. I could be exercising, and trying to build up muscle mass. But fuck it. This is easy, and doesn't require thinking.
Question was:
If a person has been overweight for along time is the fat old fat? Or does the body recycle the fat, tries to use old fat and stores new one?

With respect to fat cells themselves, the body does not "recycle" them in any sense. What does happen is that the body is constantly synthesizing and breaking down the triglyceride contents of fat cells.
An overweight person does not necessarily have more fat cells than the skinny version of themselves. Rather, it is merely that their fat cells are considerably larger due to containing more triglycerides.
A skinny person becomes fat when the balance between fat synthesis and fat breakdown skews more towards fat synthesis. As a result, over time, their fat cells will accumulate increasing amounts of triglycerides and expand accordingly, and eventually, the person is "overweight."
If that overweight person then undertook to lose weight, and managed to successfully do so, what one would observe would be that their adipose tissue ( the fat cells ) had shrunk, much like letting the air out of a balloon. Overall, however, the number of balloons would still be the same, albeit occupying much less space in the jeans.
In general, the number and distribution of fat cells is fixed at birth, but some studies have suggested that under certain conditions, it may be possible for fat cells to divide and thereby grow in number.

I had an early breakfast..
Had my muesli at 9:30, so I'm feeling hungry earlier. So, I had a banana at about 3. That should do me for a couple of hours, and then I'll have 3 more rice cakes tonight. I still should be ok.
Feeling a bit better.
126.15, so this is a 'good' day. Yesterday had a bowl of muesli at about 2, and then 3 rice cakes at 8 or so. Those BBQ ones are spicy and surprisingly filling.

Don't do that again.
I was 'full' pretty much all night. That's what made me think I wasn't going to lose any weight yesterday. And I was right. 126.65 again.
So, it turns out that the exact amount of food required to keep me alive for a day is:
1 small slice of cake, 1 bowl of museli, 3 rice cakes, 2 peanut butter sandwitches.
If I have more than that, I'll put on weight. If I have less than that I'll lose weight.
Bah

Bah.
I had a couple of peanut butter sandwitches. I think that's all my weighloss for today down the drain.
Gotta be good for the rest of the day.
I didn't have anything to eat before I went out to the trial (I know, dumb idea). And then I had a moment of weakness and ate the slice of cake that was in my observer bag. Yes, I know, it's just like having intravenous lard ;-)
I also had a couple of pineapple rings that were cooked on the bbq, and covered in delicious bacon grease. Probably not a good weigh in tomorrow.

Busy day yesterday.
Was observing at the trials yesterday. All I managed to eat was a bowl of muesli in the morning (about 9 or so). And then a lot of on-my-feet running around being energetic. 126.65. Reasonably happy with that. Also had 11 hours sleep, which I apparently needed.

Foodage.
So, today at about 11, had my muesli. Then I think I had two pears (had at least one), and a bit of chicken. It was pretty greasy, so I didn't have too much. Don't think I'll lose much today.
I'm surprisingly full.
Had my 'breakfast' muesli at 11ish. It's now 11:30 and I'm feeling quite sated. Yay for stomach shrinking.

Reasonably busy day today.
Carrying computers around and such. Todays noms was a cup-and-a-bit of muesli at 2, and then 4 rice cakes at 4. Then two pears at about 6.

I wouldn't be a geek if I didn't get my nerd on.
So I thought I'd at least do some graphs and spreadsheets and stuff.

I'm irritated.
My weight is starting to annoy me. I'm not able to do things that I should be able to do. So, I'm now actually going to start caring about it.
My plan is pretty simple. Eat less. I don't really have the time to exercise more, and my ankles are rooted anyway, which removes a lot of options I have to do exercise.
So here's the plan. Extremely small meals. And fruit when I get hungry.
It's a pretty simple plan. I like simple plans, because they're a lot harder to mess up.
I'll be weighing myself tomorrow morning, and that'll be my starting weight. I've been told to aim at 1kg/week weight loss, but I'm hoping I can do better than that.
